Hand wash with mild detergent in luke warm water.  Do not bleach, soak, rub or wring.  Dry indoors or in the shade

The cutwork technique has its home in Varanasi, India and is locally called Feccua.  Any part of the thread on the reverse side that does not form part of the intended pattern remains untidily attached to the main cloth, with the loose ends left floating till the piece is taken off the loom.
